Facebook Finally Launch Its Redesign Next Week

July 10th, 2008 By Nicholas James

Facebook are finally launching its long-awaited redesign next week (here). The changes are a complete overhaul of the current design which organizes everything into tabs and removes a lot of the clutter from profiles with the previews being seen since early May.

Application developers aren’t happy with the new changes because, it will be harder for users to add application boxes to their profile which is visible to other users therefore reducing the chances of going viral. This has led to companies such as Slide declaring they won’t be making any more applications.

The redesign will launch in beta, and users will have the choice to opt-in and use the entire new site.
