How Much Spam Do You Get Per Day?
When I check my email, I usually just empty the “Spam” folder without even checking it. This is due to the fact that there are always more spam than legit emails and since, I have several spam systems in place, with the help of my host and a spam email account. So for spam to reach my email address it has to go through a spam killer on the server, as well as Google’s filter and dodge my spam email account. However, I started to wonder “How much spam emails make it through the system I have in place per day?” which led me to give up the urge of just emptying my spam folder and letting it build up for a whole 24 hours (so we can call it an official day).
The picture (right) displays the amount of spam emails that I receive every 24 hours. Although this may not be entirely accurate due to the fact, I’ve only taken statistics for one day so I’m estimating that I’m receiving this amount daily, when in fact we could have a couple of random spammers sending me 0 one day and then 50 the next.
With this said, the number is high at 622/day however, it’s not as high as it once was when I was using Hotmail and not enough protection (spam email) as I am now and without the filter system in place, the spam count I would actually receive would be around 5,000/day which shows the system in place is effective but its not entirely effective yet
So the question is: How much spam do you get per day ![]()
