Become A Better Blogger By Using A Scorecard
Many of us hate bureaucracy and red tape but while, many of us are hating it we can use it in our favour and exploit it to become better in our industry and this is how the Blogger Scorecard came about
The Blogger Scorecard is a system where you give yourself points and by doing so you can monitor your activities so you can easily review your current position to ensure your working towards your goals and allows you to keep your motivation high.
An Example Scorecard:
20 Points: Guest Post/Article on a site with 1,000+ RSS Subscribers.
15 Points: 600+ words blog post.
10 Points: Emailing/Instant Messenger Communication with a fellow blogger for 30+ minutes
5 Points: Commenting on a blog with great content/decent traffic which doesn’t receive more then 5 comments per blogpost.
4 Points: Commenting on a blog I haven’t comment on before.
3 Points: Commenting on a blog I frequently comment on.
3 Points: Each submission to a blog carnival. (I’ll discuss this in a later blogpost)
2 Points: Every 15 minutes spent on social bookmarking other bloggers’ articles as well as your own.
1 Point: Each blog you discover with decent traffic and low amount of comments, for usage later on.
This is an example of a blogger scorecard used above which will separate you apart from 90% of the bloggers out there who don’t have a plan and post once in a blue moon.
You should aim for around 30 points per day but you should mix up you earn these points to ensure you are aiming for your goals and that you are being consistent in your efforts to make your chance of your blog becoming popular much greater.
