Webmasters & Domainers: Don’t Use PayPal

February 19th, 2008 By Nicholas James

This is a notice to all webmasters and domainers to avoid using PayPal because, there is a couple of phishers/scammers on the loose and they are exploiting webmasters and domainers by benefiting from the PayPal chargeback service and by stealing PayPal accounts.

I’m going to be compiling a list of all scammed domains and make it known to all webmasters and domainers so they can check on their when buying a domain to see if it indeed has been robbed to try and bring this scammer/phishers down. At the moment these scammers/phishers are only stealing domains but I don’t think it will be that long before they move onto websites too.

PayPal is not a safe method for accepting payment on domain sales because, they are not protecting you the webmaster/domainer so your basically getting robbed of your domain.

Keep yourself informed on this issue by constantly reading the blog or checking Namepros Warnings & Alerts forum.
