Mixx a Digg rival continues to impress its users with new features with their latest one being ”Related Items”.

This is a fantastic solution to a massive problem on digg because, other sites cover the same story compete  and they compete with each other to get to the frontpage. This is because on Digg stories are tracked separately with votes being split between them as users discover the stories which means that they take longer to get to the frontpage or they both get to the front and then two duplicate stories are being displayed. 

This new feature by Mixx not only flags a submission (like Digg does) when it thinks that a story is similar but clusters the new story to the old ones. Even if you still do submit the story and cluster to a main one you’re still going to benefit becausle you’ll get traffic too with users wanting to read a different perspective or discover further information on this issue
