Google Go Evil By Hijacking 404 Pages!

February 12th, 2008 By Nicholas James

Thanks to the members of DigitalPoint forums for discovering this, it seem that Google have decided to go evil with their new toolbar (here)

As you can see from the image Google are trying to hijack 404 pages with their new toolbar. However the reports have not said if this only happens if their isn’t a customized 404 page or its for every 404 page.

Google will try to justify this by saying they are being helpful to the computer user. However, what they are really doing is ensuring you remember to use Google and could encourage a user to leave the website when a Google 404 page comes up with their search on ;)

Remember today is the deadline to enter mini-contest to ensure you are able to win a few prizes :)
