The Way We Bookmark Websites Is Changing!

January 27th, 2008 By Nicholas James

WebMynd is a Firefox add-on which records every website you visit and saves a virtual copy on your hard drive.

However, this firefox add-on doesn’t save an image of the page because, it saves the full text site. As a result users can search those virtual pages they’ve saved if they wish to look for something later on. Another feature is that users can turn the recording off and delete saved pages that they don’t want to have stored. Users can see the saved pages by clicking on an icon at the top of the browser and then the local saved copies pop up, along with a search bar.

The company behind WebMynd is YCominbator and offer a free and paid version of WebMynd.  The free version is a basic add-on and store that pages for a week. However, if you pay $10 for 6 months or $20 for a 1 year you get the add-on that stores it for 6 month or 1 year depending on the amount you paid.

The system is pretty neat and is easy to find sites that I have visited, one that will be changing the way we bookmark websites!
