Can You Guess What Modu Is About?

January 22nd, 2008 By Nicholas James

Modu is trying to generate alot of buzz around its startup and has been circulating a teaser video (see below) about its soon to be launched product.

CEO Dov Moran is behind Modu and sold his previous company M-Systems to SanDisk for $1.6 Billion in 2006. M-Systems initiated the concept of the USB flash drive.

Doing a little research on Modu, I found they recently changed its name from InFone Tech. As well as this, they are an Israeli startup that raised $20 million in June 2007 from Gemini Israel Funds and Genesis Partners.

Looking at the video (see below), I think that its based around the “flash drive” idea. It looks to me from the video that you can transfer the data between your mobile phone to your car to your MP3 player to your laptop. Therefore, you could use it for carrying music on the Modu system but, they could be more ambitious and offer more uses.

What do you think they are going to launch from the video?
