Is There A Pagerank Bug?
PageRank is a link analysis algorithm that gives a numerical weight to each part of hyperlinked documents to measure its relative importance within the set. The algorithm may be applied to any collection of entities with reciprocal quotations and references therefore, providing a site with its PageRank ranking i.e. 5/10 etc.
There is a site other then the major ones (i.e Google’s own, Yahoo etc) that has also achieve a PageRank of 10/10. The site, I am referring to is http://www.youtubeforums.com, and in-case you don’t have a toolbar installed on your internet browser, you can see the PageRank for the site here:
Note: Google might update the pagerank and change it to a lower PageRank
However, this is very strange because, when you check with a fake PageRank tool it declares the value as fake. As well as this, when you Google “youtubeforums.com” you can see that Google are ranking #1 for this term. Which is odd because, you would have thought the domain name would be #1 for the search of the domain name, if you get what I mean. You can this see yourself here.
Another factor is that when you look in the Archives of the site: http://web.archive.org/web/*/youtubeforums.com there, isn’t any evidence that the site has been linked to a site with PageRank 10/10 to gain this PageRank.
Basically to summarise either PageRank is either useless and has a bug or the site owner is smart and has worked out a method to gain a PageRank 10/10 without having to temporarily redirect his/her site.

Funny, the Alexa Rank really isn’t impressive at all! Hmm, really makes you wonder doesn’t it.
Ronnie
The site seems to be down for me, I can’t even access it. There is an old black hat seo trick to get a PR10..

Ronnie, Alexa isn’t everything…if you look at one of my previous posts you can see how to inflate it
well, google owns youtube and since the SERP isn’t just based on PR but on relevance too, and since google is mother of all things internet thus it’s on top…
but i agree that when you search for a specific domain name it should rank on top (imho, nevermind PR indexing time etc. a search can’t get more specific than that)
That’s really funny.
