AOL Kills Off Netscape Browser
AOL have announced their plans to kill off Netscape Browser on February 1 2008.
The official announcement can be read here about the plans to kill off the Netscape Browser. The company AOL acquired back in 1999, has developed numerous complementary pieces of software to allow internet users a large and extensive variety of excellent tools.
Although AOL tried and failed with Netscape browser into trying to dent into Internet Explorers market share, all is not lost as Netscape have converted their suite into helping Mozilla grow as AOL are a major source of support in helping Mozilla create its brilliant tools for users most notably Firefox.
As well as this, you can still download the old versions of Netscape Browser when an Archive section is opened and Mozilla Firefox have created a Netscape theme and extensions available here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/user/56836
