Having been asked to Guest post on other blogs (you will see some of them shortly) and considering offering other bloggers to Guest post on Profit Baron, I decided my next post should be about guest posts.

First of all I have to say that guest posts have to be one of the most useful resources for bloggers and as well as the fact your providing content on each other’s blogs. You also can redirect traffic to your blog by saying for example ”Its Profit Baron here…” etc.

However, those are the obvious reasons for guest posting usually when bloggers get lazy or have “bloggers block” (ill talk about bloggers block as I call it in another post). So, I thought this post really shouldn’t be focused on those because, at the end of the day you’re going to be thinking ”Nicholas has just told me what I know already…guest posts provide content for each other and a quick way to promote a blog/service I have” which is, why I’m focusing on other reasons for guest posting!

So, first of all a reason you should do a guest post is that you’re going to get yourself relevant traffic that’s targeted to your niche. However, to achieve alot of traffic you need to make sure your guest posting on well trafficked sites in your niche i.e for webmaster sites/services you should offer to guest post on blog such as Profit Baron, John Chow, ShoeMoney etc :). This leads me onto my second point which is networking. This is because guest posts are a great way to build up some great business contacts, and by writing good excellent content your going to make webmasters in your niche happy which can potentially lead to a profitable business relationship. As well as, for networking purposes you can improve your brand by writing quality blog posts on different blogs. This is due to the fact, your getting yourself out there more and the more people that are aware of you, the more popular your blog is within your niche! Finally, guest posts can be used for search engine optimization purposes, as these can help you in increasing your organic search rankings. This is because, you are giving yourself content links which are the best type of links as the search engines love them :) and not only this but you can also set your anchor text for the page that you want to rank better in the search engines

Basically to summarise, if you want to build your network, increase your brand, gain more links as well as getting targeted traffic and content by doing only one thing then you should start guest posting!
