Why you should keep a list?

November 24th, 2007 By Nicholas James

In my opinion, keeping track of your schedule is extremely important. This is because, it is easy to forget even the most simple of things. This is why I am a great believer of lists due to the fact that, making lists helps organise the tasks in your head and helps prioritise the tasks ahead.

So you need to keep your diary up-to-date as well as, ensuring that conversations with clients are logged and that agreed actions are noted somewhere you can actually find easily so you can ensure it actually does go forward.

I have a dairy assigned just for this purpose. Some people, will be thinking its a silly idea however, its a vital tool in ensuring everything gets done when it should and on schedule. I split each day into hours which allows me to time-manage as well as including space for prioritising tasks.  I keep lists tasks to be done and I cross them out as they are completed so, I know what still needs doing!

However, I don’t think my method will work for everyone! This is why you need to find a method that best suits you! This is because, you might love seeing loads of post-it notes stuck all over the place, accessing a diary on your computer etc.

Remember, if you keep a list you are aware of what is needed to be done! This helps you avoid problems, reduce stress levels and most of all keep you onto of things :)
